
Ok, that's just the »romanesco sitting on my takeout box.
But if I were teaching my kid about dinosaurs, I would serve this fascinating creature on his dinner plate. (It's quite tasty actually.) And while we are at it, we might as well learn about »fractals and »logarithmic spirals too.
This is a gorgeous vegetable! I should try a recipe... makes an interesting conversation piece ;)
ReplyDeleteMakes for a great centrepiece too :) The italians have some fancy recipes for it, but the simplest way, which also preserves its colour, is just to steam or boil it in slightly salted water. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil if you like.
